IBERIA
Iberia celebrates the 75th anniversary of its founding in 1927. The airline began scheduled services in December of that same year.

Today Iberia Group airlines, the Spanish flag-carrier, fly to 95 destinations in 39 countries. Via code-sharing agreements with other carriers, it offers flights to an additional 56 destinations in 22 countries. With a fleet of more than 195 aircraft, it operates about 1,000 flights each day.

First Class is available onboard the Boeing 747 and Airbus 340 fleets flying our intercontinental routes. Iberia has designed a new seat, complete with new upholstery; when reclined in the "bed" position, it is virtually horizontal. An adjustable, individual light is integrated into the seat for greater comfort when reading. Each seat comes complete with its own video screen and a solid selection of films. Have a more enjoyable flight by watching the video Walkman, which is also offered during your flight. An in-arm handset, which is both remote control and telephone, are also available. Passengers are offered a welcome drink upon boarding the aircraft. Once the aircraft has reached cruising altitude, the cabin crew offers an aperitif from a wide selection of drinks, plus an individual style of service and selection including Iranian caviar, ice creams, Spanish specialties and the best of international cuisine. Passengers may select from three main dishes, served on fine china tableware, with high quality glassware, stainless steel cutlery and table linen carrying an exclusive design. There is also a rapid meal choice. Iberia's wine selection has received many international awards; passengers may choose from an excellent list of the finest Spanish wines selected by internationally renowned wine-tasters.

Business Class cabin has been designed with a new seat, complete with new upholstery. Each seat comes complete with its own video screen allowing travelers to watch whichever film they choose from the selection offered. A dual purpose handset, which is both remote control and telephone, is located in the arm of the seat. Iberia provides a comfort kit containing a selection of useful items. A welcome drink is offered once on board the aircraft, and when the aircraft has reached cruising altitude, the crew begins the aperitif and meal service. Passengers select from various menu options. There is also a rapid meal choice, and Iberia's award-winning wine selection.

The Economy Class cabin offers two meal options on long-haul flights and an excellent selection of the finest Spanish wines. Throughout the flight coffee, teas, soft drinks and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages are offered.

Iberia's limousine service is available exclusively to Iberia passengers flying First Class or Business Intercontinental to America or South Africa on a full-fare ticket. It is also available to Iberia Plus Platinum cardholders flying in the same classes on a points redeemed ticket. For those passengers flying to/from Barcelona via Madrid, a reservation must be made for a scheduled flight for the Barcelona/Madrid leg of the journey. The limousine's service is available in all the following cities: Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Chicago, Miami, Santiago de Chile and Johannesburg.

Iberia offers Amigo Products at transfer destinations, and the opportunity to enjoy free additional services such as: hotel, lunches, tours, etc., for customers using new transatlantic routes between Europe and our destinations in the Americas and South Africa and vice versa.

Opinions about Spain's national airline range from enjoyable to flying slave-ships. If the crew is having a bad day travelers may side with critics who cite surly service, strikes, slowdowns and smoke. If the crew is friendly, travelers may side with those who like its European style, good wines and excellent Business Class.

ICELANDAIR
Icelandair is an airline and a travel services company serving destinations in Europe and North America via its hub in Iceland, Keflavik Airport, the international airport for Iceland's capital, Reykjavik. Icelandair flies to 14 countries on both sides of the Atlantic with a fleet of Boeing 737s for short-haul service and 757s for long-haul. It serves 19 international destinations with direct flights providing a transatlantic link from 6 gateways in the United States and Canada to 13 European cities.

As a stopover point for US-Europe transatlantic services, Keflavik allows passengers arriving on morning flights from the US to make immediate connections for the Scandinavian capitals, Britain, Holland, France, and Germany. Passengers traveling from Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and other Icelandair destinations in Europe can also make daily connections to American gateways via Keflavik.

Icelandair Business Class has been providing service since 1937 and entered the new millennium with a brand new look. With the new look comes a renewed commitment: to quality, to service, to safety. The airline also offers a "healthy choice" menu option. The outstanding wine list includes Piper-Heidseck Brut, NV, which recently earned Icelandair a first-place award in Business Traveler International's "Cellars in the Sky" wine survey for Best Sparkling Wine. In addition, enjoy the "iceberg in the sky" -- 1000 year old glacial ice in your drink!

Long recognized for their "not-your-typical-airline-food" menus, flights originating from Iceland offer a special "Catch of the Day" selection featuring the freshest fish from the waters around Iceland.
