Eat Before You Fly, with British Airways
British Airways offers
its First Class and Club World passengers the
opportunity to have dinner -- including a full range
of "special" meals -- at its Terrace departure lounges
prior to boarding evening flights. Since BA's first-
and business-class passengers enjoy a fully flat bed
on long-haul flights, you can get a full night's sleep
while in the air.
First Class passengers
enjoy full waitress service in the preflight dining
areas. Club World passengers have a buffet. Keep in
mind, though, that if you wish to have dinner prior to
boarding, you'll need to pre-book at least 24 hours
before departure. Currently, about 80% of those
traveling in First and about one-third of Club World
passengers prefer to dine before takeoff.
And if you also want
to sleep through the onboard breakfast, there's a
similar setup in the arrivals lounge at Heathrow's T4
terminal. In addition to a buffet worthy of a quality
hotel, you'll find changing cubicles, showers, a
suit-pressing service, mini-gym, health and beauty
services, and business facilities. There's no reason
not to arrive at your morning meeting refreshed and
ready to talk business.
And qualify for
free long haul tickets
If you join the BA UK
and Ireland Executive Club and take a full-fare First
or Club World return flight before 1st July, you'll
qualify for a pair of free World Traveller (economy
class) tickets. All travel must start and finish in
the UK.
Once you take this
qualifying flight, you'll receive a voucher for a free
flight, which must be booked between 24th August and
14th September, with all travel completed between 1st
September and 30th November. The free flight must be
taken by the Executive Club member and a companion,
and both passengers must travel together on both the
outbound and return flights.
