GARUDA
INDONESIA
Economy Class
Denpensar to
Brisbane
Vegetarian Dinner: "Rice, fried vegetable and roast
vegetable. Nice fruit for dessert and I rediscovered
the lost joys of youth with the tapioca. Not big on
drinking booze on the
homeward journey. All in all it was quite edible but
I'm not big on bland bamboo shoots."
Denpasar Bali to Frankfurt via Singapore
Breakfast: Small bread with butter, scrambled eggs,
white beans in tomato sauce and a rice cake and a
danoontje and fresh fruit. "Bleh. Not a continental
breakfast. Don't like it at all."
Denpasar Bali to Frankfurt via Singapore
Diner: Apple salad, Beef, Rice, small bread with
butter and a cake. "Only the beef was ok".
GULF AIR
Economy Class
Bahrain to Muscat,
Oman
Midnight Snack: "Arab-style lasagne, not as much
tomato sauce and meat filled, plus dessert consisting
of three different kinds of melon. Drinks had unusual
selection of fruit juices, soft drinks, bottled water,
and wines. Considering the hour, the flight left
Bahrain t 23:30, this was a substantial snack, though
I'd have appreciated some bread. That said, the
lasagne was quite tasty, and the melon was excellent.
Note, also, that Gulf has not done away with metal
knives, either! Hurrah!"
London to Bangkok
Dinner: Chicken and carrots. "Not bad at all."
