Embraer has had another incredible year with new product announcements and support offerings progressing pretty much on schedule. Both the Phenom 100 and the 300 are on display at the static park, with the 300 making its first appearance outside Brazil. Certification of the 100 is expected imminently, though at the time of going to press Affonso remained tight-lipped as to an exact date: ’ÄúWe are very close to full certification, which will probably happen this month or next month. We are confident that we will meet all specification requirements.’Äù
Embraer has delivered an ERJ-145 regional airliner to state-owned oil company PetroEcuador. The aircraft is configured with 50 seats and will be used to transport company employees from Equador's capital Quito to Lago Agrio and El Coca in the Amazon region. The ERJ-145 family has been in operation since 1996, and has logged more than 14 million flight hours, says Embraer.
Embraer announced at the show today that it is broadening its Embraer Executive Care program (EEC) to include the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets. This gives owners of the very light and light jets the predictability of a fixed-cost maintenance support. Initially, the EEC program will offer coverage for in most of North America, South America and Europe. ’ÄúThe EEC program has become such an important and popular part of the Legacy 600 ownership experience that we are now pleased to extend it to Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 customers,’Äù says Edson Carlos Mallaco, Embraer vice president, customer support and services, executive jets.
